1. What We Collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and hashed password. We never store plain-text passwords.

When you use the site we may log your IP address for security purposes (brute-force protection, abuse prevention). IP addresses are hashed before storage where possible and are not sold or shared with third parties.

To understand how the site is used, we record activity on job listings and sign-ins: which jobs are viewed, saved and applied to, and when you sign in, with an approximate location (city and country, as reported by our network provider Cloudflare) and the type of device and browser. For signed-in members this is linked to the account and deleted with it. For visitors without an account it is anonymous: a key that changes every day and cannot be traced back to an IP address, deleted after 180 days. It is visible only to the site administrator and is never sold or shared.

If you submit a job report as a guest, we store a salted hash of your IP to prevent duplicate reports — we do not store the raw IP in that context.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To send you job-alert emails you explicitly subscribed to
• To send account-related transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• To improve the service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your email with employers or third parties.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not fingerprint individual users or place third-party tracking cookies.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time — contact us and we will erase your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics (job view counts, etc.) may be retained indefinitely as they contain no personal information.

5. Your Rights
