1. What We Collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and hashed password. We never store plain-text passwords.

When you use the site we may log your IP address for security purposes (brute-force protection, abuse prevention). IP addresses are hashed before storage where possible and are not sold or shared with third parties.

If you submit a job report as a guest, we store a salted hash of your IP to prevent duplicate reports — we do not store the raw IP in that context.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To send you job-alert emails you explicitly subscribed to
• To send account-related transactional emails (verification, password reset)
• To improve the service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your email with employers or third parties.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not fingerprint individual users or place third-party tracking cookies.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time — contact us and we will erase your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics (job view counts, etc.) may be retained indefinitely as they contain no personal information.
