Looking for a professional general underwriter with over 3 years experience for ERIIC, working based in Jordan.
Underwriter Officer – General URIIC- UR International Insurance Company in Iraq (main office Erbil Iraq) looking for a professional General Underwriter having 3+ years of multi-faceted experience within the insurance underwriting with a successful and proven track record in the field of general insurance operations, underwriting, and system development. Have in-depth and sound technical knowledge across all underwriting operational functions of general insurance. Underwrite will be based in Jordan and support our team as per below responsibilities. Job summary · Review applications for insurance and evaluate degree of risk involved and determine acceptance of applications. · Gather relevant financial data. · Analyze financial data. · Identify financial risks to company. · Rating or Pricing Risk. · Conduct site survey and online survey. · Reinsurance placement. · Preparation of bordereaux report. · Make recommendations. Summary of essential job functions · Solicits and carries out day-to-day servicing of accounts of the unit. · Directly reporting to the Manager; Supervise and maintain communication with the unit to build customer satisfaction of overseeing the smooth operation of the unit. · Establishes a good working relationship with the Traditional Distribution Channels. · Conducts product online orientations clients and attends online meetings (if necessary). · Resolve underwriting issues and responds to inquiries from brokers to verify or explain coverage, policy information. · Prepare and review of proposal. · Provide technical support for Claims and Marketing. · Prepare and secure reinsurance support. · Handles issuance of Policy & Endorsements. · Handles client documentations such as insurance quotations, coordinates the issuance of the policy, collection and claims settlement of all accounts assigned. · Perform other duties and special project or task that maybe assigned on a case-to-case basis. Minimum requirements: · Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance with a wide knowledge of underwriting, reinsurance and claims processing. · Holding a bachelor’s with minimum 3 years’ experience as a Property & Engineering underwriting background. · Property & Engineering underwriting experience and reinsurance is a must. · Good Understanding of the Clauses, wordings, best underwriting practices for Property & Engineering class. · Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). · Quick to learn new skills, comfortable communicating with clients and reinsurers, doing technical work, data analysis and contract work. Abilities required: · Fluency in written and spoken English. · Computer literate. · Possesses good knowledge of MS Office applications.
