Retail Sales Manager – Job Description Position Title: Retail Sales Manager Reports To: General Manager / CEO Supervises: Shop Supervisors, Sales Associates Location: Erbil (with travel to other cities for expansion and oversight) Objective Lead and manage the performance of Jazeerat al-Amani’s retail outlets to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and support expansion plans. Ensure operational excellence, staff supervision, and sustained revenue growth in household appliances and kitchen equipment retail. Key Responsibilities A. Retail Operations & Sales Performance • Oversee daily operations of the company’s three Erbil shops and ensure sales targets are met. • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue across existing and future outlets. • Monitor store performance (sales volume, footfall, conversion rates, customer satisfaction). • Plan and execute expansion of retail shops in other cities (location analysis, staffing, setup, and launch). B. Staff Supervision • Supervise shop supervisors and retail sales associates, ensuring adherence to company policies and sales procedures. C. Customer Experience & Growth • Ensure consistent high-quality service and customer engagement across all outlets. • Implement initiatives to attract new customers, retain existing ones, and boost average basket size. • Handle escalated customer issues professionally and ensure timely resolution. D. Reporting & Coordination • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, customer trends, and shop performance. • Work closely with the marketing team to align promotions, campaigns, and in-store events with sales objectives. • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing feedback for product and pricing strategies. Position Requirements Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. • Minimum 4-6 years of retail sales experience in household appliances and electronics. • At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing shop-level operations. Technical Skills • Proficient in MS Office (Excel for sales tracking, Word, PowerPoint). • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management tools. • Experience in retail reporting, sales dashboards, and customer traffic analysis. Soft Skills • Strong leadership and staff supervision abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and planning skills, especially in multi-branch coordination. • Target-driven, proactive, and able to work under pressure. Other Requirements • Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic (English is an advantage). • Willingness to travel regularly within Iraq to oversee shop expansion. • Valid driving license and personal vehicle preferred.
