Al-Ressom Al-Alamiya Furniture is Hiring! Job Title: Junior Accountant. Job Location: Baghdad Position overview: The role focuses on supporting the accounting department in daily operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing audit documents, conducting bank reconciliations, and reviewing payment and receipt vouchers. It involves monitoring and reconciling debts related to government, corporate, and direct sales, resolving discrepancies in accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring timely settlement of the company’s obligations with third parties. Additionally, the role requires extracting and reviewing customer account statements and performing any tasks assigned by the direct manager to ensure smooth financial operations. Responsibilities: • Assisting the accounting department with daily accounting tasks. • Entering and archiving daily journal entries. • Assisting in preparing documents for the audit file. • Performing bank reconciliations. • Assisting in reviewing payment and receipt vouchers and cash advance settlements. • Monitoring and reviewing debts related to government sales, corporate sales, and direct sales. • Extracting customer account statements and reconciling them. • Resolving discrepancies in accounts receivable and payable (if any), responding to inquiries, and reviewing account statements. • Following up on the company’s debts and entitlements with third parties, ensuring their settlement by collecting dues or fulfilling obligations in a timely manner. • Performing any tasks assigned by the direct manager. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a related field. • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting. • Good English language use in practice (verbal and oral) • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
