📢 Job Opportunity – Senior Mechanical Engineer 🏢 Industry: Oil & Gas Construction Services 📍 Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time 👨💼 Level: Senior (10+ Years of Experience) About the Role A leading engineering and construction company specializing in oil & gas infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing technical team. This role offers the opportunity to work on major energy projects across the Kurdistan Region. Key Responsibilities Review and verify technical invoices against completed site work, material deliveries, and equipment usage. Supervise on-site mechanical activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Cross-check field progress reports, material quantities, and equipment records. Identify and report discrepancies between invoiced items and actual site work. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and procurement teams. Prepare technical reports, cost assessments, and engineering recommendations. Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory standards. Support project managers with scope verification, quantity surveying, and change order management. Conduct site inspections and technical audits throughout project milestones. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage). Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas construction projects. Strong expertise in invoice verification, quantity surveying, and contractor supervision. Solid knowledge of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, rotating equipment, pumps, piping systems, and structural steel. Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant industry standards. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); AutoCAD or other engineering software is a plus.
