Full-time Junior Solar Engineer responsible for solar system design, implementation, and support, requiring electrical engineering degree and experience with solar energy.
Company Description Progress Sun Company is a leading and unique provider of integrated consultancies in the solar energy industry. Based in Erbil, we offer a range of services including Solar Project Assessment, EPC Contracting, Solar System Installation, Power Sector Evaluation, Power and Energy Market Evaluation, and Training and Public Engagement. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Solar Engineer located in Erbil. The Junior Solar Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as solar power system design, PV and electrical design and installation, project implementation support, sales administration, costumers technical and commercial service and support. Also reporting and office support. Qualifications • Solar Industry knowledge and experience in solar power systems • Proficiency in PV design and electrical design • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience in project implementation and execution • Ability to work well in a team and independently • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and standards • Experience with AutoCAD and other design and simulation software • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar • Relevant certifications in solar energy and engineering • Excellent language skills in English, beside Kurdish and Arabic • Driving license Preferred is a young electrical engineer with experience or knowledge in Solare Energy and Power applications or at least practical experience in electrical and power system installation. Qualified technicians are also welcome to apply. Applicants from outside the electrical, solar energy or power field are not preferred. It is more practical if the applicants are residents of Erbil City. Work Place and Terms Work place will be at the office in Erbil City and on site, projects could be in Erbil, Kurdistan or Iraq, there will be site visits outside the city. The first three months will be a probation and evaluation time. Work days are from Saturday to Thursday, working hours are flexible in the beginning.
