Sulaimani Cement Company is hiring a Senior Accountant for its new cement plant in Bazian. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, product costing, management reporting, and external audit support.
WE’RE HIRING | FP&A / Senior Accountant Turn a new cement plant’s numbers into decisions. Sulaimani Cement Company (SCC) is preparing to bring its new cement plant in Bazian, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, into production. The plant is designed to produce 6,000 tonnes of clinker per day. We are building a lean, digital finance team on SAP S/4HANA, and we need a senior accountant who owns planning and performance. What you will do • Build and maintain the annual budget and monthly forecasts • Analyse monthly results against budget and explain the variances to management • Own product costing: inventory valuation, cost of goods sold and margin by product • Prepare the monthly management reporting pack for the CFO and CEO • Review the output of SAP’s built-in AI assistants every day, and challenge anything that doesn’t look right • Support the external audit Mandatory • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Professional certificate: ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent • At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, budgeting or financial analysis • Good written and spoken English An advantage • Hands-on SAP experience (S/4HANA preferred) • Product costing in cement or heavy manufacturing • IFRS reporting • Kurdish and Arabic • Strong Excel and financial modelling Location: Sulaymaniyah Reporting to: CFO To apply, send your CV in English to [[email protected]] with the subject “FP&A / Senior Accountant” by 8 October 2026.
