Job Announcement Rubban Al-Safina Company for Heavy Engineering Equipment Manufacturing Commercial Department Engineer – Specialist in Commercial Proposals (Oil & Gas Sector) Work Location: Baghdad – Owairij About the Company Rubban Al-Safina is a company specialized in manufacturing heavy engineering equipment, serving the oil and gas sector. We are looking to add a strong engineering talent to our commercial team to help grow our business and strengthen our market presence. About the Role We are seeking an engineer specialized in preparing technical and commercial proposals, with a good understanding of industrial equipment and oil and gas project requirements, to act as the link between the client and the manufacturing and engineering teams. Duties and Responsibilities • Review and analyze customer requests and tender specifications (RFQ / ITT) from both technical and commercial perspectives. • Prepare and accurately price technical and commercial proposals within the specified deadlines. • Estimate costs in coordination with the design, production, and procurement departments. • Communicate with customers and suppliers and follow up on technical and commercial inquiries. • Negotiate prices and contract terms in the company's best interest. • Follow up on submitted proposals through to the contracting stage. • Prepare periodic reports on submitted proposals, win rates, and competitor analysis. • Maintain a database of customers, proposals, and prices. Qualifications and Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Petroleum, or equivalent). • At least 2–3 years of experience in preparing commercial proposals, preferably in the oil and gas sector or heavy industries. • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications. • Knowledge of tendering procedures and pricing mechanisms in the Iraqi market. • Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken). • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred. • High accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
