Oil and Gas Companies in Erbil are seeking a Telecom Specialist. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Telecommunications, relevant certifications, and 3+ years of experience in telecom and radio communications.
Job announcement for oil and gas companies in Erbil: We are looking for Specialist (Telecom and Radio Communications) Support of Operating and Basic IT&T Services Requirements & Education • Education: Master Degree Telecommunications and Information Technologies specialization; • One of the following certification levels: o “CCNP Collaboration” or professional certification level for telecommunications subject approved by any telecommunication vendor is preferred (e.g. Alcatel, Cisco, Motorola, Huawei, etc.); o Motorola Radio Foundational or Motorola Trunk and Dimitra System certification for configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance. • Not less than 3-years of experience of practical work with fixed telephony and PABX administration, equipment, services and software listed below: o Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Jabber and Cisco ISR Routers; o IP and TDM telephony administration; o Monitoring the operability and performance of the communications links; o Telephone network servicing and maintain the networking solutions; o IP DECT solutions installation and configuration and support; o Installation and configuration of desk phones and conference voice stations; o Using the following call signaling and control protocols: H.323, SIP; o Experience working with IT and Telecom services customers, their technical support and training. • Not less than 2 years of experience of practical work with Motorola MOTOTRBO/TETRA administration, equipment, services and software listed below: o DIPM, TETRA MTS2, MTS4; o TETRA administration; o Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of TETRA MTS, Dimitra system; o Installation, configuration and support of MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus Multi-Site, MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus, MOTOTRBO IP Site Connect, MOTOTRBO Capacity Max, MOTOTRBO Capacity Max Bridge. o Installation, configuration and support of MOTOTRBO SLR 1000/5000/8000 Series Repeaters; o Troubleshooting of trunk communications equipment. • Strong knowledge of RF Systems such as transmitters, receivers and antenna networks; • Strong knowledge of standard telephony and dedicated data circuits; • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networks; • Knowledge of the main network protocols (FTP, SNMP, RTP); • Language skills: English at Intermediate level. • Not less than 5-years of experience of practical work with multimedia and presentation equipment, services and software, including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting: o Multimedia systems to include secure/non-secure video teleconferencing, audio/video switching, microphones, speakers, and control equipment; o Digital tuners and receivers; o Extron equipment; o Crestron equipment; o IPTV systems (Net UP). • Strong understanding of audio and visual equipment and concepts; • Skills of understanding and interpretation of IT&T and electrical design documentation; • Knowledge of local- and wide-area network architecture, LAN/WAN control systems; • Language skills: English at Intermediate level.
