Job Announcement: Native Android Developer Contract Type: Fulltime Location: Erbil/Sulaymmanyah Starting Date: Open till filled Job Description: Orbital Company in the Kurdistan region is seeking a creative Native Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile platform applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams. Responsibilities: • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Work with outside data sources and APIs. • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance. • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Technical requirement: • Design, build and maintain high-performance reusable, And reliable Kotlin and Java code. • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. • Knowledge of open-source Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. • Familiarity with APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. • Proficient understanding of version control systems, such as Git • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, trends, and emerging technologies. • Experience with offline storage, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning • Familiarity with using design patterns such as MVVM, singleton, and Clean Code. • Proficiency in Firebase. • Jetpack's composing knowledge is a plus. General Requirements • 1 - 3 years of experience in Software Development. • Fluent in Kurdish and English. Intermediate knowledge of Arabic is preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
