Hiring: Planning Manager / Planning Lead 📍 Location: Basra, Iraq Position Purpose & role The Planning Manager / Planning Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing all planning and scheduling activities across tenders and ongoing projects within the company’s oil & gas construction operations. The role focuses on company-level planning management, schedule control, delay analysis, and project controls oversight across multiple projects and tenders. The role includes: - Development of baseline schedules - Supervision of planning engineers and schedulers - Progress monitoring and reporting - Delay analysis and claims support - Protection of the company against schedule-related risks and contractual counterclaims. The position also serves as a key coordination point between Project Management, Contracts, Commercial, Cost Control, and Client representatives regarding planning and time-related contractual matters. Requirements • B.Sc. in Engineering (preferably Civil or Mechanical Engineering) • Minimum 10 years of professional experience • Minimum 7 years in planning, scheduling, and project controls within construction or oil & gas projects • Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and scheduling methodologies • Good understanding of EPC project execution and construction sequencing • Experience in delay analysis, TIA, EOT, and claims support • Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract structures is preferred • Strong analytical, reporting, organizational, and communication skills • High attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy Key Responsibilities • Develop and review tender schedules, baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and revised programs • Monitor project progress and coordinate schedule updates with project/site teams • Conduct critical path and delay analysis • Support claims and extension of time submissions • Maintain planning records and documentation • Coordinate with Contracts, Commercial, Cost Control, and Project Management teams • Participate in client and planning review meetings • Support KPI tracking, forecasting, and executive reporting • Assist in mitigation and recovery planning 📩 Candidates who meet the above qualifications are invited to send their CVs to: [email protected] Please mention the position title in the email subject line.
