A company in Erbil is seeking an FTTH Design Engineer to design and represent Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Outside Plant (OSP) using GIS mapping systems. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Civil/Construction Engineering and experience with AutoCAD and fiber design.

FTTH Designer Engineer The purpose of this position is to utilize GIS mapping systems to accurately design and represent Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Outside Plant (OSP). The role responsibility: - • Utilize AutoCAD create and edit telecom plant designs. • Produce site-specific drawings depicting the status of all facilities equipment and connections based on redline drawings provided by engineers and inspectors. • Recent experience utilizing AutoCAD to create fiber designs required. • Recent experience creating fiber to the home (FTTH) designs required. • 3-GIS, Google Earth, or similar software experience is highly preferred • Engineering aerial, underground & inside copper and/or fiber routes and road moves. • Design fiber routes and lay-out counts including: FTTH, FTTP, FTTC, FTTT & Ethernet. • Attend on-site meetings with customers for site walks and provide requirements to the customer in a respectful manner and meet the client’s timelines associated with the site-walk. • Has the ability to perform a job cost analysis to determine the most cost effective and efficient manner for the placement of communications facilities. Education: - BA in Civil/Construction Engineer. Minimum Qualifications • 2 plus years of experience / Knowledge of Fiber Design. Google Maps/Earth, AutoCAD, ESRI, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite • Fieldwork & Site Survey for OSP design. • Strong communication and computer skills. • Self-Motivated Professional that is a creative problem solver • Ability to perform a wide spectrum of complex assignments requiring alternative analysis, innovation, and judgment. • Team player.
