The Interior Design Academic Specialist will provide theoretical and practical training to young engineers interested in starting a business in interior design. The role involves teaching workshops, mentoring participants, and ensuring quality instruction.
Contract period: 3\7\ to 15\9\2022; There will be no training for a week due to Eid al-Adha Total training hours: 60 Time distribution: Two days a week, 3 hours a day Deadline for submission: 20\06/2022 Location: Culture Factory, (Old Sulaimani Tobacco Factory) Email: [email protected] Overview The Organization for Culture and Sustainable Development (OCSD) invites all interested candidates to apply for the position of Interior Design Specialist for the second phase of a joint project with the Goethe-Institut and the Khan El Fan Program- funded by the Federal Republic of Germany. The duration of the project is 5 months and 10 days and the total budget is 50,000 euros. The overall objective of the project is to support talented young people whose jobs and incomes have been affected by the coronavirus crisis, with the aim of resuming employment and entering the labor market. We at Sulaimani Cultural Factory are looking for an academic specialist to support our team in teaching theoretical lessons and supervising professional training to young engineers who are interested in opening a business in the field of interior design. As an academic and professional trainer, he/she must be proficient in the basic tasks of teaching and conducting workshops. Have a rich experience in teaching capable enthusiastic individuals who seek innovation and encourage the expansion of the mindset of the youth participating in the program. Because the workshop is both theoretical and practical, the trainer is expected to supervise the prototypes that each young participant must create as a condition of completing the workshop and obtaining a certificate. These prototypes will be presented to design experts and enthusiasts in a high-end gallery at the closing event of the program. Responsibilities • Write and distribute the curriculum syllabus to all 19 workshop participants • Be a good time manager, so that each week in which 6 hours of training is required, leave exactly two hours of this time for participants to practice and expand their thoughts. • Due to having an assistant working with the lead instructor in this training, he or she should properly define the duties and responsibilities of this assistant. • Be responsible for registering, admitting absentees, and signing the attendance list on session-based sheets. • Compliance with the contract signed between the two parties. requirements • Higher education degree in interior design from one of the world's recognized universities • Ability to speak, write and communicate in English at the level of the mother tongue • Previous online or in-class teaching experience in the area of expertise • Published at least two papers in this field in the past three years • Experienced in online teaching techniques Application Procedure: Interested candidates are required to submit their applications before midnight of the closing date.
