A Bank in Erbil- Iraq: Position: Database Administrator Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize the bank’s mission-critical databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, supporting core banking systems, digital channels, and regulatory reporting. The role ensures availability, performance, security, and compliance in a 24/7 digital banking environment. Key Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain databases, ensuring high availability and performance. • Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform capacity planning and performance tuning. • Design and manage backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, supporting business continuity. • Implement database security, access controls, and audit procedures to comply with banking regulations. • Provide database support across DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD environments, including incident resolution and root cause analysis. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams and maintain technical documentation. • Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 4+ years of experience in Database Managing roles. • Strong experience in Database Administration (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL). • Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, performance tuning, and high-availability architectures. • Experience with Linux and/or Windows on-premise environments. • Understanding of regulated banking environments and 24/7 system operations. Preferred Qualifications • Database certifications (Oracle OCA/OCP, Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Always On, or equivalent HA/DR technologies • Knowledge of audit and compliance requirements in financial institutions • Experience supporting 24/7 production systems and digital channels Kindly submit your resume to: [email protected] #All_Kurdistan_Jobs
