Job Vacancy/ Senior project & Commercial Engineer in Erbil Iconz Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Project & Commercial Engineer to lead the commercial and cost control functions across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for fit-out, electrical, and joinery works • Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications • Monitor and control project costs against budgets and forecasts • Perform cost analysis, cost planning, and value engineering • Track variations and assess their commercial impact • Draft, review, and manage contracts and subcontracts • Evaluate and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers • Ensure all contractual obligations are clearly defined and enforced • Handle claims, variations, and disputes professionally • Maintain proper documentation of all contractual communications • Review and validate subcontractor quotations and invoices • Perform measurement verification for executed works • Ensure alignment between BOQ, actual executed quantities, and payments • Monitor subcontractor performance from both technical and commercial perspectives • Prepare project cash flow • forecasts Monitor project profitability and margins • Develop and maintain cost reports, financial statements, and reconciliations • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies • Conduct detailed project cost audits and reconciliations • Compare estimated vs. actual quantities and costs • Review and validate final accounts • Support management with insights for decision-making and cost optimization • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams • Provide regular commercial and financial reports to management • Ensure alignment between design, execution, and cost control Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture / Electrical Engineering • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in similar role (fit-out projects preferred) • Strong experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Control • Proven experience in contract drafting and administration • Excellent knowledge of fit-out, electrical, and joinery works Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical and numerical skills • High attention to detail • Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost management tools • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects Preferred • Experience in GCC / Middle East markets • Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks • Experience in fast-track fit-out projects Key Deliverables • Accurate BOQs and quantity verification • Controlled project costs and improved margins • Properly managed contracts and minimized risks • Clear financial reporting and project transparency How to Apply Interested candidates should send their CV to [email protected] with the subject line “Senior Project & Commercial Engineer” Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. #All_Kurdistan_Jobs
