Responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring gender programs focusing on livelihoods, social cohesion, and recovery in Erbil, requiring good analytical and communication skills.
Job Announcement Position: Project Officer, Gender Location: Erbil with frequent traveling and field missions Period and Duration of the assignment/Services : Four Months Estimated start date : 20 Aug.2021 to 31 Dec.2021 Academic Qualifications: Master’s Degree or equivalent in gender, economics, social sciences or related fields OR Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in gender, economics, social sciences or related fields. Years of Experience: A minimum One (1) year (with Masters’ degree), or, minimum two (2) years (with Bachelors’ degree) of relevant experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of gender programmes focusing on livelihoods, capacity support, social cohesion and recovery projects/programmes Previous experience of working on gender is required; demonstrated expertise in developing gender analysis and program design tools Experience in developing and administering gender trainings, ability to communicate technical expertise and implement best practice approaches can be as asset Able to transfer technical knowledge skills and transform attitudes to improve gender equality and solid knowledge on result-based management and project implementation is required. Required good analytical and writing skills Required experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.). Advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, as well as experience in the handling of web-based management systems an asset Previous experience of working with national or international development NGOs is required. Working Experience in UNDP or other UN Agencies is an advantage Language requirements: Proficiency in English and Arabic is required. Kurdish will be an asset.
