Job Advertisement Organization or Agency: International Organization for Migration (IOM) Position Title: Migration Health Officer – Reporting and Research Organizational Unit: Migration Health Division Duty Station: Erbil - Iraq Type of Contract: Sub-Contract to Stars Orbit Consultants and Management Development Grade: Equivalent to P2 Duration of Appointment: Six (6) months, with possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and funds availability Closing Date: 25 January 2026 Reference Code: CFA2026/IRQ/001 Context/Reporting line: Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer, the successful candidate will perform the following duties Core Functions / Responsibilities 1. Prepare internal and external reports and regular ad-hoc narrative, impact, and statistical briefs (including donor updates), coordinating inputs, quality review, and maintaining an updated reporting calendar. 2. Serve as the division’s MEAL focal point; track progress against objectives and benchmarks; propose data-driven improvements; and support the establishment and use of M&E frameworks 3. Develop and maintain indicator-tracking tools; establish well-organized data collection tools, databases, and SOPs to ensure data quality and integrity. 4. Design and develop infographics and dashboards to support analysis, decision-making, and dissemination. 5. Contribute to study designs, data-collection instruments, codebooks, and analysis plans across assessments and research activities. 6. Support implementation of research activities and health assessments in the field, including developing and delivering trainings for field teams. 7. Draft manuscripts and analytical reports synthesizing key findings from assessments and research. 8. Assist with administrative and technical aspects of project implementation in line with policies and donor requirements; monitor progress to flag risks and bottlenecks and recommend evidence-based corrective actions. 9. Coordinate with mission units and IOM teams for synergy; engage stakeholders for information validation and dissemination; work with PI for donor-compliant visibility; plan and deliver capacity building; contribute to project development (context reviews, problem/solution analysis, results frameworks, indicators); and perform other related duties as may be assigned. Required Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health informatics, or any relevant field from an accredited academic university or institute with Four years of relevant experience, or • Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields with 2 years of relevant professional experience. Experience and Skills: • Demonstrated expertise in report writing and data visualization, particularly in preparing donor reports and impact briefs. • Practical experience with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems, such as tracking indicators and monitoring performance. • Skilled in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and processes to ensure data quality. • Proficient in creating dashboards and infographics to support decision-making and communicate with stakeholders. • Background in research design and execution, including developing tools for data collection, codebooks, and analysis strategies. • On-the-ground involvement in health assessments and research, including training and building capacity among field teams. • Familiar with drafting manuscripts and analytical reports suitable for publication and sharing with donors. • Technical Writing & Reporting: Experienced in crafting clear narrative and statistical reports for diverse audiences. • Data Analysis & Visualization: Adept in using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to build dashboards and visual content.
