Job Announcement: Instrumentation and Control Technician Company: #PowerPlant Location: #Bazian,#Sulaymaniyah Tasks & Accountabilities: • Performing routine maintenance, calibration, and testing of instrumentation and control equipment. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with control systems, sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and other related components. • Collaborating with the engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and identify areas for improvement. • Conducting preventive maintenance activities to prevent unplanned downtime and ensure equipment reliability. • Operate in a safe and risk-free manner according the plant safety regulations and local rules. • Confirm that equipment to be worked on is electrically safe and secure, and provide documentation that lockout is complete. • Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, record, and control generating operations • Inspect meters, indicators, transmitters, switches, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations. • Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment. • Trace out and test electronic circuitry and components to locate defective parts in analog and or digital protection systems using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Background Knowledge & Experience. 1- Education: A Diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical Diploma is essential Preferred: Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering. 2- Experience: Fresh technician or at least 3 years in instrumentation work in a power plant or similar operation with exposure to all aspects of trouble shooting fault finding replacement and calibration.
