Job Announcement Job Title: Driver Duration of Contract: 12 Months-full time Organization: Democracy and Human Rights Development Center (DHRD) Location: Sulaimaniya Province Deadline of application: January 9, 2024 Number of required staff: 2 Background: The Democracy and Human Rights Development Center (DHRD) is a locally-based, non-governmental, non-profit human rights organization founded in the KRI in 2002. DHRD is firmly committed to upholding the principles of justice, the rule of law, an independent judicial system, and the promotion of human rights. Currently, DHRD is recruiting Two Drivers to work for its " A comprehensive approach on prevention, risk mitigation and response to GBV and enhancement of CBP initiatives" project that is implemented by UNHCR support. This project is dedicated to the empowerment of refugees living both within and outside of camps in the Sulaimanya and Garmyan areas. Tasks and Responsibilities: Provides passenger transport in an official car for office, and project staff. Helps with the transport of goods if requested. Completes the vehicle log book correctly as per DHRD instructions. Checks the car for maintenance and makes sure it has fuel. Checks the safety of the car, and abides by applicable traffic laws and regulations. Effective and immediate reporting all involvement of the project or office vehicle in accidents, including minor accidents, damage, loss or theft of vehicle fittings. Have the ability to travel outside the city when required by DHRD. Qualifications & Preferred Skills High school diploma. Minimum Valid driving license. Has no record of major accidents in the last four years. Minimum 5 years in professional driving. The ability to travel to outside Suli province and stay overnight when required. Spoken and written Arabic and Kurdish, and basic English.
