Job Vacancy: Procurement Engineer Raban Al Safina for Heavy Engineering Equipment (RASHEE), a member of the RAS Group, is looking for a qualified Procurement Engineer to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. RASHEE is a leading provider of engineered solutions for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Energy sectors, and is proud to be the first local factory in Iraq with ASME certification. Roles & Responsibilities: • Strategy Development: Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and implement workable procurement and supply chain strategies. • Vendor Management: Coordinate with internal teams to develop and consolidate comprehensive vendor lists for various engineering parts. • Sourcing & Evaluation: Implement procedures for sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials. • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor vendor performance and address any issues to ensure supply chain continuity. • Cost Optimization: Continuously work on optimizing costs and the quality of parts/products while forecasting future requirements. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could interrupt procurement or supply chain processes. • Compliance: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. • Experience: Proven experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Engineering, or Construction sectors. • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using procurement software and computer tools to track goods and manage data. • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
