Job Announcement – 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 Bazyan, Iraq | Full-time | 24 Month Contract Taurus – Bazian Power Plant is seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Engineer to support and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across plant operations and contractor activities. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: HSE Oversight & Compliance Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and legal regulations Conduct routine HSE inspections, audits, and site walkdowns Verify implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities Review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments before work execution Track and follow up HSE observations, unsafe conditions, and corrective actions Incident Prevention & Reporting Identify unsafe acts and conditions and intervene when required Support incident, near-miss investigations, and root cause analysis Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions Monitor compliance with PPE, housekeeping, and safe work practices Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with Taurus HSE standards Training & Safety Awareness Verify competency certificates and training records for high-risk activities Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions Deliver HSE inductions and promote a strong safety culture across the site Provide coaching and guidance to workforce personnel Emergency Preparedness Support emergency response planning and emergency drills Evaluate evacuation readiness, first-aid arrangements, and fire protection systems Prepare daily and weekly HSE reports Maintain records for inspections, audits, permits, NCRs, and observations Monitor HSE KPIs and recommend improvement actions Conduct audits of camps, welfare facilities, and restaurants where applicable Coordination & Communication Coordinate with HSE teams, project management, contractors, and operational departments Participate in HSE meetings and progress review sessions Support enforcement of contractual HSE obligations and standards 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field Professional Certifications NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred Experience 3–5 years of HSE experience in EPC, construction, power plant, industrial, or oil & gas sectors Minimum 3 years of industrial HSE experience required Familiarity with ISO, OHSAS, OSHA, NFPA, and international HSE standards 📩 Interested candidates are invited to submit their CVs to: 📧 [email protected] #All_Kurdistan_Jobs
