🚨 We’re Hiring | Electrical Commissioning Engineer Khudairi Group – AGS is looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Basra, Iraq. 📍 Location: Basra, Iraq 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time 🏭 Industry: Oil and Gas Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing the pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, start-up support, and handover of all electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, power distribution. The role ensures all electrical assets, control systems, cabling, and protection relays are energized and commissioned in full compliance with project specifications, IEC/IEEE standards, hazardous area classifications, and strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: •Develop, review, and execute detailed electrical pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures, Method Statements, and ITPs for HV/MV/LV switchgears, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, and distribution boards. •Lead primary and secondary injection testing, insulation resistance (Megger), contact resistance, transformer turns ratio (TTR), winding resistance, and breaker timing tests. •Perform relay testing, setting verification, and trip testing for numerical protection relays (SEL, Schneider, ABB, Siemens). •Lead safe energization sequences for substations, MCCs, transformers, and emergency power systems applying strict Isolation amp; LOTO protocols.Oversee cable hi-pot testing, glanding/termination verification, grounding continuity, and lightning protection system testing. •Coordinate daily commissioning activities with Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Operations, and client representatives. •Maintain accurate commissioning test sheets, punch lists, red-line as-built drawings (SLDs, schematics, loop diagrams), and secure Final Completion Certificates. •Monitor progress, resolve constraints, report status, and liaise with suppliers, contractors, and Project Management. Requirements: 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MSc, MBA, or PMP is a plus). 💼 7–10 years of experience in electrical commissioning/project management within the Oil amp; Gas industry, with strong experience in Iraq. ⚙️ Deep expertise in primary/secondary testing using advanced test kits (Omicron, Megger, Primary Injection test sets, CT/VT analyzers). 📌 Strong ability to read and troubleshoot complex schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), protection logic, and wiring diagrams. 🔥 Solid knowledge of hazardous area electrical installations (ATEX / IECEx) relevant to Flare Gas Recovery amp; Gas Processing Facilities. 👏 Strong leadership, clear communication, safety-first mindset, and decision-making skills under live substation conditions. 🇮🇶 🇮🇶 This position is open to Iraqi nationals only. 📩 To apply, please send your CV to: [email protected] 📞 +964 776 901 2785
