Job Title: Environmental Engineer (Iraqi Only) Location: Karbala Refinery Rotation: 20/10 Salary Range: 2,520,000 – 2,800,000 IQD Key Responsibilities: • Monitor refinery emissions, wastewater treatment, and waste management systems to ensure environmental compliance. • Conduct site inspections and environmental audits to identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare environmental reports, including monitoring data, compliance assessments, and performance indicators. • Support the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and sustainability improvement programs. • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and HSE departments to optimize environmental performance. • Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes, and propose preventive measures. • Provide training and awareness sessions on environmental standards and safe work practices. • Liaise with local environmental authorities and external auditors as required. • Ensure compliance with refinery HSE procedures and environmental protection policies. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. • 3–5 years of experience in environmental engineering within refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities. • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, HSE management systems, and pollution control processes. • Proficiency in environmental monitoring tools, data analysis, and technical reporting. • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work under a rotational schedule and in field environments. • Professional Certifications: if any NEBOSH/IOSH.
