Smithson is looking for a full-time Learning and Development Specialist in Erbil; the functions of this role include project preparation and management, report writing, and day-to-day operational management of Smithson's training department; this role is office based with occasional travel inside Iraq. Please send your CV to [email protected] Responsibilities Project Coordination Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve Help prepare budgets Analyze risks and opportunities Oversee project procurement management Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement) Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests Learning and Development Developing and implementing training programs that are aligned with business objectives, including design and development of curriculum, materials, and assessments Conducting needs assessments to understand what employees already know and what they need to learn next Measuring the effectiveness of training programs by conducting evaluations with participants and managers after a course has been completed Coordinating with other members of the organization’s training department to develop and deliver training programs Providing individualized instruction to employees who need help mastering new skills or improving existing skills in order to perform their jobs more effectively Creating resources to support learning objectives such as handouts, workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, videos, or podcasts Requirements in order of importance: A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field/office, preferably in learning and development activities. Fluency in English and Arabic languages is necessary, Kurdish language is a plus; Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are required, knowledge in MS Project is a plus; Proficiency in writing reports, preferably for training projects; Experience in supervising training projects is necessary; Previous experience with the humanitarian sector in Iraq is necessary; Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation is a plus; Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Administration/Finance is a plus. https://ngosjobs-bids.com/jobs/job-detail/job-learning-and-development-specialist-28813/nav-15 #All_Kurdistan_Jobs
