Job Title:Senior Accountant Company:Small Village Location:Baghdad – Al Mansour, 14 Ramadan Street Working Hours:8 hours per day, from Saturday to Thursday Salary: To be determined during the interview – Negotiable Department: Accounting Reporting To: Head of Accounting Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the financial reporting process. The ideal candidate is a graduate in accounting with solid experience in using Odoo ERP and possesses good English communication skills Key Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries, bank reconciliations, and invoices. Generate monthly and annual financial reports. Manage month-end closing processes including preparation of balance sheets and profit & loss statements. Review and verify all expenses, revenues, and financial transactions. Work extensively with the Odoo ERP system to input data, generate reports, and manage financial workflows. Assist in the preparation of tax reports and ensure compliance with local financial regulations. Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation. Support and guide junior accountants if required. Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (mandatory). Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role. Strong proficiency in Odoo ERP (required). Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking). Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Good knowledge of local tax and financial regulations. Key Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
