Job Purpose: The Ice Cream Factory Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery and equipment used in ice cream production, ensuring smooth production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation & Production: · Operate and monitor ice cream production machines (mixing, pasteurization, homogenization, freezing, and packaging). · Ensure the proper setup, calibration, and adjustment of equipment for optimal performance. · Control production parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and mixing time, to maintain product quality. · Start, stop, and troubleshoot machines as needed. · Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team. Quality Control & Food Safety: · Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines. · Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards. · Identify and report any defects or deviations in product quality. · Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the production area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). · Health & Safety Compliance: · Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. · Follow all food safety and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines. · Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products. · Participate in safety drills and report any hazards or unsafe conditions. Qualifications: Education: · High school diploma or technical certificate in a related field. Experience: · Previous experience in food manufacturing, preferably in ice cream or dairy production. · Experience operating industrial production machinery is an advantage. Skills: · Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues. · Attention to detail and commitment to quality. · Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. · Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices. · Willingness to work in a cold production environment. Working Conditions: · Full-time, 6 days and 48 hours a week. · Shift-based work, including weekends or night shifts as required. · Standing for extended periods and handling materials manually. · Exposure to cold temperatures in ice cream processing areas.
