Job Description

Genel Energy is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and preservation of static equipment such as valves, pipe-work, and pressure vessels. Responsibilities include maintaining records, stock control, routine maintenance of production equipment, and interpreting technical drawings. The candidate must be willing to undertake a practical trade test and align with Genel Energy’s values.

contributing to improvements and increased performance • Perform maintenance, repairs and preservation to static equipment as required – valves, pipe-work, pressure vessels, tanks and such-like • Maintain records of mechanical PM’s, daily reports, consumable usage and replenishment • Stock and cost control as well as maintaining equipment and material inventory • Perform routine maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment [e.g. diesel generators, portable air compressors, water pumps etc and repair when necessary • Understand the importance of schedule driven performance and deliverables • Ensure equipment, materials and tools are kept in good working condition for work execution. • Interpret technical drawings and confidently update any changes Candidate shall be willing to: • Undertake a practical trade test to positively endorse qualification and working knowledge Competencies: • Cultural Fit – Align with Genel Energy Values of Integrity, Ingenuity, Accountability, Collaboration, and Respect. • Focus on Results - Able to plan and organise work to achieve goals; achieves targeted results with minimal supervision; is accountable for own actions.
