Seeking a highly experienced Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader to oversee security operations for an international client in Kirkuk, Iraq, ensuring compliance and safety in a high-risk environment.
Career Opportunity – Team Leader / DTL (TL & DTL) Position: Team Leader (TL & DTL) (Expatriate) Location: Iraq Kirkuk Rotation: 8 weeks on / 4 weeks off Hours: 12-hour shifts, on-call while off duty Language: Native English Speaker - Essential Reporting To: CONTRACTOR Operations Manager About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader to provide operational leadership for security teams supporting a prestigious international client in a high-risk environment. The successful candidate will oversee and support team operations, ensure compliance with COMPANY standards, and maintain the safety and security of personnel and assets. Key Responsibilities: · Liaise daily with STL and MOM to coordinate security operations · Produce route reports and maintain operational documentation · Conduct team training as directed by the Training Manager and STL · Participate in emergency response procedures · Manage the behaviour, performance, and administration of Armed Protection Team (APT) staff · Plan and conduct client-carrying missions as directed · Plan and execute mobile patrol schedules to secure internal and external perimeters · Respond to security incidents as required. · Ensure compliance with COMPANY operational, safety, and security standards Essential Criteria: · Native English speaker (Essential) · Formal Close Protection qualification certified by a nationally recognised awarding body (minimum UK Level 3 equivalent) · SIA licence or national equivalent · Minimum 4 years military or police service in challenging environments · Previous command and control experience · Valid driving license, MOI, and company ID cards · Minimum 1 year Iraq experience · Completion of CONTRACTOR TL course · Attendance of an internationally recognised NCO course (e.g., British Army Section Commanders Battle Course or higher) · Medical Trauma Management Qualification (Level 3 or above, e.g., AoFAQ Level 3 Award, QA Level 3 Certificate, Pearson BTEC Level 4) · Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills · Must have a clean criminal record Why Join Us: This is a unique opportunity to work with a prestigious international client in a dynamic, high-stakes security environment.
