UN-Habitat Iraq is seeking a Programme Officer to manage projects related to peace, stability, land governance, and housing rights for vulnerable groups in Iraq. Requires advanced degree, 5+ years of experience, and strong coordination skills.
We are looking for a Programme Officer (International consultant) to join our team in Erbil. The focus of this consultancy is to carry out the implementation and management of the projects titled “Promoting Peace and Stability in Iraq by Facilitating Sustainable Returns”, “Policy Dialogue on Legislative Reform to Improve Land Governance and Secure Tenure Rights by Registering and Resolving Land Claims for vulnerable IDPs in Iraq”, “Support to Formalize the Housing, Land and Property (HLP) Rights of Minorities in Sinjar”, and other projects under the UN-Habitat Iraq Country Programme, as assigned. Check some of the requirements: · An advanced degree in Politics, International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Law, or other relevant field of studies; · Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; · Experience in Project and Programme Management; • Proven track record and experience in communicating results to Donors; • Experience in developing technical documents for project and programme planning; • Experience in coordination and facilitation of complex multi-stakeholder forums, workshops, roundtables engaging with multiple partners and stakeholders; • Excellent writing skills in preparing briefs, reports, and other communications materials; • Experience coordinating with Government Counterparts (Ministries), Donors, and other UN Agencies; • Experience working on projects related to HLP rights of IDPs and minorities, with a focus on cross-cutting issues (gender, youth, people with disability/ies).
