Job Announcement: HSE Officer Company: Matten Oil and Gas Location: Basra, Iraq Job Type: Full-time . Position Summary: We are currently seeking a qualified HSE Officer to join our team in Basra. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting safety awareness, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting day-to-day safety operations across our sites. Key Responsibilities: · Enforce company HSE policies and procedures across the worksite. · Conduct routine safety inspections and audits. · Identify hazards and implement corrective measures. · Support incident and accident investigations with detailed reporting. · Provide safety training and daily toolbox talks. · Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper usage. · Maintain up-to-date HSE documentation and records. Qualifications & Skills: · Diploma or degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, or related field. · Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in industrial or oil & gas sectors. · Knowledge of Iraqi labor laws and international HSE standards. · Strong communication and observation skills. · HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred. · Candidate must be located in Basra or willing to relocate.
