Job Announcement Position: Accountability Assistant Reports to: CBP Team Leader Duration of Contract: 12 Months, full time basis Location: Sulaimaniyah and Garmyan areas Number of required staff: 1 Background: The Democracy and Human Rights Development Center (DHRD) is a locally-based, non-governmental, non-profit human rights organization founded in the KRI in 2002. DHRD is firmly committed to upholding the principles of justice, the rule of law, an independent judicial system, and the promotion of human rights. DHRD is actively engaged in a wide array of legal protection programs, with a primary focus on human rights and humanitarian response to various crises. It provides direct assistance services encompassing legal, social, and psychosocial support to victims of human rights violations. DHRD is a vocal advocate for legal reforms, especially in cases involving torture victims and survivors of GBV. Currently, DHRD is recruiting One Female Accountability Assistant for its "A comprehensive approach on prevention, risk mitigation and response to GBV and enhancement of CBP initiatives" project that is implemented by UNHCR support. This project is dedicated to the empowerment and economic inclusion of refugees living both within and outside of camps in the Sulaimanya and Garmyan areas. Job Summary: The AAP Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring that the voices and concerns of affected populations, including refugees and IDPs, are heard and integrated into the decision-making processes of the community-based protection project. Under the direct supervision of the CBP Team Leader, the AAP Assistant will work closely with the project team to facilitate feedback mechanisms, engage with community members, and promote community participation in project activities. This role involves monitoring, tracking, and reporting on performance and compliance, and taking corrective actions when necessary. The Key Responsibilities: Provide support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the area of AAP, complaints and feedback mechanism (CFM), and community engagement Support and assist in the assessment, planning and implementation of complaints and feedback mechanism (CFM) processes for refugee and IDP communities. Support in building knowledge for social protection activities in case handling and referring process across different CFM channels. Deliver and support in capacity building and awareness raising through conducting different types of trainings and awareness activities. Support the CBP Team Leader in the coordination and collaboration with other stakeholders, including government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs to facilitate CFM implementation and integration. Collect and maintain relevant data and documentation related to accountability, performance, and compliance including CFM and Face to face complaints. Continuously monitor and evaluate COVs and mobilizers’ performance and their adherence to DHRD’s policies and procedures. Prepare regular reports and assessments on compliance and performance, highlighting areas of improvement or concern. Analyze data and information to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Communicate findings and recommendations to DHRD and/or UNHCR. Conduct investigations into reported incidents of non-compliance, and collaborate with relevant parties to resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, investigations, and corrective actions taken. Education: University degree in social work, language or other related fields Language: Fluency in oral and written communication in Kurdish, Arabic and English languages. Experience: Minimum 2 years in relevant working experience. Desired experience with a humanitarian organization and operational implementation on AAP and CFM.
