An international company is looking for a senior accountant based in Erbil. the candidate must have the below qualifications and skills ; Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements. 2. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger and record transactions. 3. Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. 4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and monitor variances. 5. Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead closing processes and post adjustments. 6. Audit Preparation: Prepare for audits and provide necessary documentation. 7. Tax Compliance: Ensure tax regulations compliance and assist in tax filings. 8. Internal Controls: Develop and review internal control policies. 9. Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis to support business decisions. 10. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff. 11. Systems Improvement: Enhance accounting systems and processes. 12. Regulatory Reporting**: Ensure compliance and prepare regulatory reports. 13. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with departments and report to management. 14. Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as needed.
