Work opportunity in Duhok– HÁWAR.help 1. Pedagogical Officer (Entry to Mid-Level) Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week Key Responsibilities: • Provide individual pedagogical and social support to girls and young women facing educational, family, or social challenges. • Offer counseling and referrals to psychosocial, medical, educational, or career services. • Facilitate workshops on civic education, life skills, personal development, and empowerment for adolescents (ages 8–18). • Organize role model encounters, inspirational sessions, and cultural/recreational activities. • Ensure trauma-sensitive, safe, and inclusive approaches in all sessions. • Monitor participants’ progress and contribute to MEAL and donor reports. • Collaborate with colleagues in GBV and MHPSS for integrated approaches. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, or related fields. • 1–3 years of professional experience in youth work, education, or counseling (experience with adolescent girls is highly desirable). • Strong facilitation and mentoring skills. • Fluency in Kurdish and English (Arabic an asset). • Experience working in multicultural or displacement contexts is preferred. 2. Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Expert – Mid-Level Advisor Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical expertise and oversight on GBV programming within SCORING GIRLS* Iraq. • Co-design project activities and participate in Training of Trainers (ToT) on gender-sensitive coaching. • Lead workshops on GBV prevention, rights, complaint mechanisms, and available protection services. • Facilitate resilience training, group discussions, and family/community awareness sessions. • Establish and maintain safe referral pathways to protection services (e.g., Women’s Empowerment Centers, DCVAW). • Ensure all interventions are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. • Monitor GBV activities, support safeguarding, and contribute to MEAL processes and donor reporting. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Psychology, or related fields. • 2–4 years of experience in GBV prevention/response, women’s empowerment, or protection (NGO experience preferred). • Strong knowledge of GBV standards, referral systems, and survivor-centered approaches. • Proven experience in training facilitation, community awareness, and capacity-building. • Fluency in Kurdish and English (Arabic an asset). • Experience working with displaced or conflict-affected populations desirable.
