Supporting healthcare administration through research, reports, and coordination with staff as a management intern.
Job Title: Management Intern Reports to: Administration Manager Location: Kirkuk Road, Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region, Iraq Position Overview: The Management Intern will work closely with our administrative team to support various functions and initiatives crucial to the success of our organization. Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities: • Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our medical complex. • Conduct research and analysis on healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices to support decision-making processes. • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports. • Collaborate with department heads and staff to facilitate communication and coordination across different areas of the complex. • Assist with the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction programs. • Attend meetings and take minutes, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up on action items. • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, such as facility expansions or accreditation processes. • Shadow various roles within the complex to gain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations. • Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of healthcare management principles and practices. • Keep up to date with the current market trends and industry forecasts • Work with key staff to understand and examine business processes within and across departments • Performing ongoing analyses on business processes related to quality, costs, and time management Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: Education: Bachelor's in Business Administration, or a related field Experience: One year of experience Language: Fluency in written and oral Kurdish and English, Arabic would be advantageous Work Hours: 40 hours per week Unique requirements of the job: • Excellent attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Excellent interaction and social skills • Genuine interest in healthcare management and a desire to make a positive impact in the medical field. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software applications as needed. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
