Supervise fire alarm system installation, testing, and maintenance in a refinery, ensuring standards compliance and safety.
Position: Fire Alarm System Foreman (IRAQI ONLY) Location: Karbala Refinery – Iraq Salary: 2,800,000-3,360,000 MIQD Rotation: 20/10 Job Summary: The Fire Alarm System Foreman is responsible for supervising the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems within the refinery. This role ensures that all systems comply with NFPA, Civil Defense, and refinery safety standards to maintain operational integrity and protect personnel and assets. The position also involves advanced job planning, logistics and resource allocation, technical authority, complex problem escalation, and quality assurance and compliance auditing to ensure high performance and system reliability. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise daily installation and wiring of fire alarm systems. • Coordinate with HSE, Firefighting, and Electrical departments. • Review and interpret drawings and technical layouts. • Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to ensure efficient project execution. • Act as a technical authority in fire alarm system standards and troubleshooting. • Handle complex technical issues and escalate as necessary. • Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. • Train and guide technicians in safe installation practices. • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports. • Ensure effective communication and supervision within the team. • Follow Permit to Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Qualifications & Experience: • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. • 3–5 years of experience in fire alarm systems (oil & gas preferred). • Knowledge of NFPA, BS 5839, and Civil Defense standards. • Proven leadership, planning, and supervision skills. • Strong attention to safety, quality, and technical accuracy. • Experience in compliance auditing and report documentation. • Proficiency in technical English Please send your CV by email to [email protected] Noting that any applications from non-Iraqi candidates will not be reviewed
