Cloud Engineering Manager — Job Description About the Role We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our cloud department and drive the modernization of our infrastructure. You will manage a small team of engineers and own the strategy and execution of migrating our on-premise environment to the cloud. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set technical direction, mentor your team, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of 1–5 cloud/infrastructure engineers Own the end-to-end migration strategy from on-premise servers to cloud infrastructure Design and implement cloud architecture that is secure, resilient, and cost-effective Define and enforce best practices for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident response Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to align cloud strategy with business goals Evaluate and select cloud platforms, tools, and vendors Manage cloud costs and optimize resource utilization Establish SLAs, on-call rotations, and operational runbooks Report on infrastructure health, project progress, and cloud spend to leadership Requirements Must-have: 5+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering 2+ years in a team lead or engineering management role Proven experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Strong knowledge of networking, security, and systems architecture Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders Nice-to-have: Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional, etc.) Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Background in DevOps or SRE practices Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) What We Offer A high-impact role shaping our cloud infrastructure from the ground up Ownership and autonomy over technical decisions Competitive salary and benefits Collaborative, growth-oriented team environment How to Apply Send your CV and a brief note on your experience with cloud migrations to: [email protected]
