Job Opportunity: Quality Control (QC) Engineer Location: Al-Samawah, Iraq Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Construction & Civil Engineering About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our team for our ongoing site operations in Al-Samawah. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and site workmanship comply with project specifications, contract standards, and quality management protocols. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Quality Control (QC) plans and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections and audit civil/structural processes to ensure full adherence to drawings and specs. Inspect incoming raw materials, construction components, and perform required field sampling and testing. Coordinate effectively with site managers, consultants, testing labs, and subcontractors. Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and track corrective and preventive actions to resolution. Prepare clear daily, weekly, and monthly QC site reports and documentation. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on experience in site construction projects. Work Location: Based in or willing to relocate/commute to Al-Samawah. Technical & Soft Skills: Strong working knowledge of quality standards, codes, and construction site inspection methods. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOQs, and project specifications. Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and team coordination skills.
