The Accountant will support day-to-day financial operations and contribute to maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management: o Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure accurate entry of financial transactions. o Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts. o Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. 2. Reporting and Compliance: o Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. o Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. o Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports. 3. Payroll and Payments: o Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner. o Manage accounts payable and receivable. o Prepare and issue invoices for clients. 4. Budgeting and Analysis: o Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. o Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures. 5. Archiving and Record-Keeping: o Maintain organized and secure financial records. o Archive financial documents for future reference and audits. 6. Technical Proficiency: o Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. 7. Flexibility and Work Ethics: o Ready to work flexible hours as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role. • Languages: Proficiency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic. • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and analytical skills. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
