Vara Machinery Company Accountant Specialist Erbil Job Overview Vara Company is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced (Accountant Specialist) to join our team in Erbil Branch. Job Description Job title: Accountant Specialist Reporting to: Finance Manager Salary: Negotiable Hours: Working Time Based on Company Policy Location: Vara Company / Erbil Key responsibilities & duties Record and process financial transactions using the Phenix system. Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. Prepare detailed and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Baghdad branch. Manage petty cash, including disbursements, reconciliation, and replenishment, ensuring financial integrity. Proactively follow up with customers in the Baghdad branch to facilitate timely credit collection. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, contributing to financial accuracy. Stay abreast of accounting regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance. Work experience & skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. English, Kurdish and Arabic required. Proven experience as an accountant, demonstrating excellence in financial management. Proficiency in utilizing the Phenix system or similar accounting software. Excellent communication skills with close attention to detail Proven experience being able to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Comfortable working independently when needed, or as part of a team Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
