Seeking experienced Senior Metering Engineer with 7-10 years in oil & gas metering to oversee standards, audits, calibration, and system maintenance, ensuring high data accuracy and operational efficiency in Basra.
🔔 We’re Hiring | Senior Metering Engineer 📍 Basra, Iraq The role involves owning metering standards, procedures, and uncertainty budgets in line with API, AGA, ISO, and MPMS standards. You will lead internal and external audits, prepare documentation, and close audit actions. Responsibilities also include specifying, evaluating, commissioning, and maintaining metering systems and analyzers (orifice, turbine, ultrasonic, Coriolis, PD meters, provers, sampling systems, gas chromatographs, and flow computers), ensuring proper integration with SCADA/DCS and data historians. You will lead calibration, proving, and verification programs using traceable standards, manage CMMS strategies, spares, and obsolescence plans, and ensure high system availability. The role requires strong data validation, reconciliation, uncertainty analysis, RCFA, and KPI monitoring. You will support operations through expert troubleshooting, manage vendors and service contracts, interface with production, finance, and partners, and mentor technicians while driving continuous improvement and digitalization. 🔶 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred), 7–10+ years of oil & gas metering experience, strong knowledge of international standards, and excellent communication skills. 📩 Send CVs to: [email protected]
