Position: Safety Coordinator Location: Slemani Type: full time Description: Job Purpose: The Safety Coordinator for the HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil) Unloading Area is responsible for ensuring safe and compliant operations during fuel unloading activities. This role focuses on enforcing compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, monitoring adherence to client safety standards, and promoting a strong safety culture among HFO drivers and site personnel. Key Responsibilities: 1. Safety Compliance: o Ensure that all HFO drivers comply with mandatory PPE requirements while on site. o Monitor adherence to Lafarge HSE standards and procedures during fuel unloading operations. o Conduct routine safety inspections of the unloading area to identify potential hazards. 2. Training and Awareness: o Provide safety induction and refresher training to HFO drivers and relevant site personnel. o Promote awareness of safe work practices and emergency procedures. 3. Incident Reporting and Investigation: o Record and report any safety incidents, near misses, or non-compliance events. o Participate in investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. 4. Coordination and Communication: o Coordinate with operations, logistics, and HSE teams to ensure smooth and safe unloading activities. o Communicate safety expectations and updates to all relevant stakeholders. 5. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, PPE compliance, and training activities. Qualifications & Experience: • Diploma or College degree. • Strong knowledge of PPE standards, fuel handling safety, and HSE management systems.
