Vara Machinery Company Senior Logistic Specialist – Erbil Job Overview Vara Company is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced (Senior Logistic Specialist) to join our team in Erbil. Job Description Job title Senior Logistic Specialist Reporting to Logistic Manager Salary Negotiable Hours: Working Time Based on Company Policy Location: Vara Company / Erbil Key responsibilities & duties Prepare all necessary documents for shipments. Record and manage all accounting related to logistics operations. Track all shipments on a daily basis to ensure timely deliveries. Follow up with overseas operations to ensure coordination and Coordinate with drivers and clients for seamless logistics operations. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for operational analysis and collaborate with the Logistics Manager to identify areas for improvement. Arrange & follow up all shipments with Mersin & Umm Qasr agents to oversee shipments arriving at these ports. Coordinate and arrange emergency orders with express freight forwarders such as DHL and Aramex. Handle and resolve any claims related to newly received shipments in collaboration with the service team. Monitor and follow up on demurrages and detentions to minimize delays. Support the logistics manager in various operational details as well as Identify and assess daily operations, advising on possible improvements. Oversee the daily operations of VARA machinery logistics. And Ensure service level requirements are met. Coordinating the use of warehouses or other storage facilities to ensure efficient use of space. Preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents such as customs declarations and insurance policies Work experience & skills Previous experience as an operations & logistics senior or in a similar role Bachelor’s degree in management or an engineering background. English, Arabic and Kurdish required. Hands-on experience implementing operational processes. Excellent project management skills. Knowledge of operational principles and policies.
