Network monitoring engineer required to monitor and maintain transmission networks 24/7. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, coordinating access, and escalating major issues.
Job Announcement: Network Monitoring Engineer Job Description: Gateway ICT Solutions is seeking a creative Network Monitoring Engineer to work under the direct supervision of the NOC Manager and with our NOC team to achieve our business’ digital goals. The Network Monitoring Engineer will be responsible to work with other engineering teams to monitor the transmission network and to keep it, live and healthy 24/7. Responsibilities: • Monitor the network, report any alarms or incidents in the system to the related teams and keep following up until recovery or deliver it in the HO data to the next shift. • Providing supplementary, relevant, correlative, and important information to the related teams in case of incidents that may support in fast analysis for the root cause and fast recovery. • Arranging and coordinating the required access for the teams in case of any access requirements. • As well as monitoring unauthorized site access to Newroz sites and tracking them. • Checking and handling cases related to complaints received or reported from call enter and checking the related part of the network and reporting these cases to the related departments and teams and following them up until recovery. • Escalating the major incidents and outages to the higher management based on the severity, time and impact of each case using SMS notifications, voice calls and emails. • Receiving, checking customer complaints reported by SD and handling the major cases to T2 and coordinating the communication with the customers in a suitable way. • Checking internet circuits and their performance throughout our network and report any cases to the related teams and follow-up until recovery. • Performing daily and weekly reporting for some critical cases in the network that may affect service quality or network performance. Requirements: • Fresh graduates are accepted for this level of monitoring, while experienced people are more preferred. • Engineering or Computer Science Qualification Degree is mandatory. • Preferable to have knowledge in telecommunications, networking and computers. • No Specific skills • Ability to speak Kurdish, English and/or Arabic.
