Job Title: Linux System Administrator Location: Baghdad - Al-Arasat Work Schedule: Five days per week (Sunday-Thursday) / (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Position Overview: Al-Mustashar Islamic Bank is seeking to hire a skilled Linux System Administrator to support and maintenance of the bank’s Linux-based system. The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive background in Linux system administration, security, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain Linux servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the integrity of the Linux-based infrastructure. • Manage system backups, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical data. • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and optimize applications running on Linux systems. • Configure, upgrade, and patch Linux operating systems in alignment with security standards and compliance requirements. • Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential issues, security threats, and areas for improvement. • Assist in integrating Linux systems with other banking applications and platforms. • Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and access controls for Linux environments. • Provide technical support to resolve Linux-related issues and ensure smooth operations for all stakeholders. • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, policies, and procedures. • Work closely with external vendors and service providers to support and upgrade Linux infrastructure as needed. Requirements: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or any related field. • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux system. • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and system security. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in system monitoring tools and configuration management (e.g., Nagios, Ansible). - Expertise in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM). - Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, for documentation and reporting purposes. - Language Proficiency: Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking). - Certifications: Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
