We Are Hiring – Lifting Supervisor for 1GW Solar PV Project 📍 Location: Basra, Iraq 🏢 Company: CEEC International Engineering Co., Ltd. 🔋 Project: 1GW Solar Photovoltaic Project (Owner: TotalEnergies, France) ____________ Lifting Supervisor Purpose: Supervise all lifting operations on site, ensure lifting plans are implemented safely, and maintain compliance with project safety procedures and international standards. Key Requirements: • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Construction, or related engineering field • Minimum 3 years of experience in lifting operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role • Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, rigging methods, and heavy load movement standards • Familiarity with international HSE regulations (LOLER, OSHA, ISO 45001) and Iraqi labor/safety legislation • Valid Lifting Supervisor certification or equivalent qualification (CITB, LOLER, or recognized authority) • Proven ability to prepare, review, and approve lifting plans and method statements • Excellent communication and leadership skills in English (Arabic knowledge preferred) • Ability to work in high-temperature field environments and remote construction sites Key Responsibilities: • Supervise all lifting operations (crane, hoisting, rigging) to ensure safety and compliance with approved lifting plans • Review and approve lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements before execution • Inspect lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging gear to ensure certification, condition, and compliance • Coordinate lifting activities with construction, mechanical, and HSE teams to avoid conflicts and delays • Ensure operators and riggers are competent and properly certified for assigned tasks • Conduct toolbox talks (TBT) and safety briefings prior to lifting operations • Stop unsafe lifting activities immediately and implement corrective actions • Maintain accurate lifting logs, inspection records, and incident reports __________ __📌 Preferred Candidates: Iraqi nationals with international EPC project experience.
