NYCO Group seeks a Senior Construction Engineer for oil and gas projects in Basra. The role manages construction activities, teams, schedules, quality, safety, and subcontractor performance.
NYCO Group is seeking to hire a qualified (Senior Construction Engineer) to join our team for oil and gas projects in Basra, Iraq. Location: Basra, Iraq Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field. +5 years’ experience CSWIP Level II certification is preferred. Familiar with: -Static Equipment -Construction -Welding -Fabrication Key Responsibilities: -Plan, organize, and manage all construction activities across assigned projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution. -Develop and monitor construction schedules, work plans, and project milestones. -Supervise and coordinate construction teams, site engineers, supervisors, workers, and subcontractors. -Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure proper execution of construction works. -Monitor project progress and ensure construction activities are completed according to approved schedules and budgets. -Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution. -Identify construction-related issues, assess risks, and implement appropriate corrective actions. -Ensure the quality of construction works complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards. -Prepare and submit regular progress reports, technical reports, and project updates to the General Manager. -Manage construction resources, materials, equipment, and workforce requirements efficiently. -Ensure all construction activities comply with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements. -Implement and monitor site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements. -Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. -Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and subcontractors. -Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements. 📩 Application Instructions: Qualified candidates are invited to submit their CVs to [email protected] with “Senior Construction Engineer” in the subject line.
