Position: International Procurement Supervisor Location: Sulaymaniyah - Zewe Road, Iraq Reports To: Supply Chain Manager Department: Supply Chain Supervision: International Procurement Specialist About Company Icestar is a renowned ice cream manufacturer committed to delivering high-quality, delicious products to our customers in Iraq. Job Purpose: To oversee and manage all international procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services that meet company standards. The role focuses on developing global supplier networks, managing import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and leading the procurement team to achieve organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise and coordinate international procurement operations to meet production and business needs. 2. Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with global suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. 3. Negotiate international contracts, pricing, and payment terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and trade regulations. 4. Monitor market trends and global supply chain risks to anticipate changes in pricing, availability, and logistics. 5. Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwarding processes. 6. Collaborate with internal departments (finance, production, logistics, and quality) to align procurement with operational goals. 7. Lead and mentor procurement team members, promoting efficiency and professional development. 8. Develop and implement international sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and continuous improvement. 9. Ensure adherence to company ethical standards, sustainability practices, and compliance requirements. 10. Prepare periodic procurement reports, KPIs, and cost analysis for management review. Qualifications & Skills 11. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 12. Minimum 5 years of experience in international procurement, supply chain, or logistics, including supervisory or leadership roles. 13. Strong knowledge of global sourcing, import/export procedures, Incoterms, and international trade compliance. 14. Proven negotiation and contract management skills in an international context. 15. Proficiency in procurement systems (ERP) and Microsoft Office tools. 16. Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills. 17. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. 18. Language skills: Fluent in English (required); Arabic and Kurdish are an advantage.
