Welthungerhilfe is announcing a vacancy for the position of Logistics Officer (Part Time) – Erbil Welthungerhilfe, one of Germany’s leading organizations in development cooperation and humanitarian aid, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Logistics Officer in Erbil. The position carries an initial 6-month contract with strong prospects for extension. Key Responsibilities: Management and supervision of procurement processes (national/international tenders, quotations, direct awards) Oversight of contracts and purchase orders, ensuring regular updates to relevant staff Design and follow-up of project procurement plans Training and capacity building for Project Managers and budget holders on logistics regulations Monitoring fleet and premises needs, proposing timely adjustments to senior management Management and documentation control of the EU-Supply portal Supplier screening and serving as FinScan focal point Capacity building of national partner organizations (approx. 30% of working time) Fleet management including compliance checks, maintenance scheduling, and data entry in FleetWave Coordination of daily movement plans and ensuring vehicle availability Required Qualifications: BSc. in Administration, Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (MBA preferred) 3–5 years of experience in NGOs Strong experience in procurement, inventory and asset management, fleet coordination, and capacity building Offer: A professional and supportive working environment with emphasis on personal and career development.
