This is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the ground level and contribute to shaping its future in a new market. ⸻ Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and planning for our startup and procurement activities. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Commercial Manager and other departments to ensure cost efficiency, financial transparency, and strategic alignment across the business. This role is vital to laying the financial foundation of Tamam’s operations in Iraq. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for logistics and procurement operations. • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager to align financial targets with pricing and growth strategies. • Monitor transportation, delivery, and supplier costs, and implement cost optimization measures. • Manage budgets and perform variance analysis to ensure alignment with operational goals. • Review and negotiate payment terms with vendors and partners to improve cash flow. • Track profitability by service line, route, and customer category. • Ensure compliance with Iraqi tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. • Support the financial evaluation of commercial campaigns, vendor contracts, and expansion plans. • Coordinate internal audits and maintain clear, accurate financial records. • Play a key role in setting up financial systems, tools, and controls in this startup phase. ⸻ Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus). • 5+ years of finance experience, ideally in logistics, B2B supply chain, or service-based industries. • Strong understanding of cost structures in in-house logistics operations. • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel-based financial modeling. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills. • Self-motivated and adaptable to a startup environment with evolving priorities. ⸻ Reporting To: Country Director ⸻ How to Apply: Send your CV to [email protected] with the subject line: “Finance Manager Application – [Your Name]”
